1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all reservations, stays, services, and interactions with Thabeng Hotel & Restaurant (“the Hotel”).
By booking with Thabeng Hotel, staying on the premises, or using our services, the guests agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Reservations & Payments
2.1 Reservation Confirmation
A reservation is confirmed once the Hotel has:
Received a deposit or full payment, or
Issued written/email confirmation.
2.2 Rates
All rates are quoted in Lesotho Loti (LSL) or South African Rand (ZAR).
Rates include taxes and charges unless stated otherwise.
Prices may change without notice but confirmed bookings will not be affected.
2.3 Payment Methods
We accept:
Cash
EFT/Bank transfer
3. Check-In & Check-Out
3.1 Check-In
Standard check-in time: 14H00 SAST
Valid ID or passport is required for registration.
3.2 Check-Out
Standard check-out time: 11H00 SAST
Late check-out is subject to availability and may attract an additional charge.
4. Cancellation, Modifications & No-Shows
All cancellations and modifications follow the Hotel’s published Cancellation Policy.
Key points include:
Free cancellation within the allowed window
Charges for late cancellations or no-shows
Non-refundable bookings cannot be changed or refunded
5. Early Departure
Guests who leave earlier than the booked departure date may be charged an early departure fee, typically equal to one night’s stay, unless the reason qualifies under exceptional circumstances.
6. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
Treat staff, other guests, and property respectfully
Avoid excessive noise or disruptive behaviour
Use facilities safely and responsibly
Comply with Lesotho law while on Hotel premises
Guests are financially responsible for:
Damage to property
Lost keys/access cards
Excessive cleaning required due to misuse
7. Hotel Rights
The Hotel may:
Refuse service or cancel a stay if the guest violates these Terms
Enter a room for housekeeping, maintenance, safety checks, or emergencies
Relocate guests in case of unexpected operational issues
Enforce any of its rights as appears in its policies.
8. Use of Facilities
8.1 Safety
Guests must follow all safety instructions posted in rooms or provided by staff.
Children must be supervised at all times.
8.2 Amenities
Use of amenities such as gardens, lounges, or conference rooms is at the guest’s own risk.
9. Personal Property & Liability
The Hotel is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal items not placed in the room safe or at reception for safekeeping.
Vehicles parked on hotel property are parked at the owner’s risk.
Guests should take reasonable precautions to secure their belongings.
The Hotel assumes no liability for:
Events beyond its control
Guest negligence
Acts of third parties or service interruptions
10. Smoking, Alcohol & Prohibited Substances
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
Smoking in rooms is strictly prohibited and may result in a cleaning fee.
Alcohol may be consumed responsibly in permitted areas.
Illegal drugs or substances are strictly prohibited.
11. Visitors
Visitors must register at reception.
Overnight visitors require approval and may incur an extra charge.
Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
Thabeng Hotel & Restaurant respects guest privacy. Personal information is collected only for:
Reservations and billing
Safety and legal compliance
Service improvement

13. Force Majeure
The Hotel is not responsible for delays or failures in service caused by events beyond its control, including:
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Power outages
Civil unrest
Severe weather
Refunds will be considered where reasonable.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Lesotho. Any disputes shall first be addressed through internal resolution, and if unresolved, may be referred to the Courts of Lesotho.
15. Amendments
The Hotel may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available:
